Calm Is Trained. Not Inherited.

Myofascial Release & Nervous System Bodywork in Northfield, IL.

You’re successful. Capable. Always moving.

But your body feels tight.
Your shoulders live near your ears.
Pain keeps resurfacing.

You’ve tried massage.
Stretching.
Maybe even PT.

Relief comes. And, then it fades.

That’s where this work is different …

The John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach®

The John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach® is the foundation of this practice. This whole-body method addresses the fascial system, the connective tissue that surrounds and supports every muscle, nerve, and organ.

When fascia becomes restricted from stress, injury, surgery, or repetitive movement, it creates pressure and dysfunction that often does not appear on standard imaging.

Rather than chasing symptoms, this approach follows the restrictions themselves. Sustained, precise pressure allows the tissue to gradually release while the nervous system shifts out of protective patterns.

When fascia releases, mobility improves and the nervous system recalibrates.

Each session is guided by what your body presents that day.

No routines. No force. No surface-level work.

Ready for Lasting Relief?

If you are ready to address the patterns driving persistent pain and tension, this work may be the next step.

What Clients Experience

Tamara has worked on some of my issues a couple of times and I couldn't be happier with the results.

“I was suffering from terrible pain in my shoulder (to the point of wishing I just didn't have that arm--it was that bad). She was able to work her magic and bring me much needed relief.

Since I only get to be treated by her when I'm in the Chicago area, she gave me so many helpful tips for self-care. Without any investment in any specialized tools, she taught me how to make sure I can head off any recurrence of pain before it gets to a critical situation. She really cares about getting you better and to a better place.

If you've got pain, and especially if it's been bothering you and "nothing seems to help," I'd give Tamara a call. I serious think I owe my left arm to her!”
