FAQ

What do you actually help with?

I help retrain stressed bodies.

Chronic neck tension. Low back pain. Jaw clenching. Shoulder tightness. Persistent fatigue. A nervous system that feels “on” all the time.

Each session is customized to what your body needs that day. Some sessions are restorative. Some are therapeutically focused. Most are a strategic blend.

Your body evolves. The work evolves with it.

This is collaborative. If something needs adjusting, we adjust. Your feedback matters. Your body is listened to.

You are here to recalibrate, not push through.

How to prepare for your session?

  • Wear soft, comfortable clothing you can move in.

  • Do not apply body lotion before your session. Myofascial work requires traction, not slip.

  • Please complete your intake form before your first session. This allows me to provide safe, individualized care. You may fill it out online (emailed before the initial appt) or download and print the PDF.

What happens during a session?

Prior to your session, feel free to reach out with any questions. Come in and make yourself at home … empty out your pockets, take off your shoes, grab a glass of water.

During the session, you may talk or stay quiet. Eyes open or closed. I may guide your movement or reposition you as needed. If you need more or less pressure, say so.

Your session may include:

I do not chase symptoms.

We address them, but we also identify what is driving them. Restricted fascia. Compensatory patterns. A nervous system that has adapted to stress.

That is where sustainable change begins.

After your session, you may feel deeply relaxed. You may feel lighter. Mild soreness is possible. Hydrate. Rest if needed. Integration continues beyond the treatment room.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on how long your body has been compensating.

Many clients notice meaningful change after one session. Long-standing patterns typically require a series.

A common rhythm:

  • Weekly, bi-weekly or monthly at first

  • Then spacing out as your system stabilizes

This work supports independence, not dependency. You’ll receive simple self-treatment guidance so progress continues between visits.

What are the benefits of bodywork?

Clients commonly experience:

  • Reduced chronic tension and pain

  • Improved mobility and posture

  • Better sleep

  • Lower stress reactivity

  • Increased energy and focus

Calm is not accidental. It is trained.
